Guadeloupe School Holidays 2025-2026
IMPORTANT! We are publishing the 2025-2026 school holiday schedule in Guadeloupe using the officially adopted format. Accordingly, school holidays begin after classes on the specified date and end before classes on the published date. For example:
Summer holidays 2026 in Guadeloupe end on Tuesday, September 1st. This means children are free from classes on September 1st, and they return to school on September 2nd.
- Summer holidays 2025 – from July 5 (Saturday) to September 1 (Monday) 2025.
- All Saints’ Day holidays (autumn break) are from Saturday, October 18, 2025 to Monday, November 3, 2025.
- Christmas (Christmas holidays) – from December 20 (Saturday) 2025 to January 5 (Monday) 2026.
- Carnival (carnival holidays) – from February 7 (Saturday) to February 23 (Monday) 2026.
- Easter (Easter holidays) – from April 2 (Thursday) to April 20 (Monday) 2026.
- Summer holidays 2026 – from July 4 (Saturday) to September 1 (Tuesday) 2026.
A week in May 2026
Traditionally, Guadeloupe observes long weekends to commemorate the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost. Therefore, there will be additional days off on the following dates:
- May 15 (Friday), 2026.
- May 16 (Saturday), 2026.
- May 26 (Tuesday), 2026.
Taking these days into account, schoolchildren will have additional vacation periods on the following dates:
- Ascension of the Lord: from May 13 (Wednesday), 2026 to May 18 (Monday), 2026.
